SPERLARI® Gastronomia Mostarda Cremonese
Mostarda is a typical delicacy of Northern Italian cuisine, with traditional Cremona mostarda dating as far back as 1397. According to legend, the product was invented after an errand boy inadvertently dropped a melon into a bucket of honey. This flavour combination played a key role in the development of the product we know and love today.
Sperlari produces mostarda according to a precise process starting with the selection of the best raw ingredients, chosen and harvested at the perfect stage of ripeness. These ingredients are then candied before being immersed in a sugary syrup flavoured with mustard – the unmistakeable element which adds a unique sweet and spicy element to this product.
Ingredients:
candied citrus in variable proportions (pears, apricots, peaches, cherries, citron, mandarins, figs, contains sulphur dioxide), glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator (citric acid)), colouring (E127), glucose syrup, sugar, flavouring, acidity regulators (tartaric acid, citric acid). Gluten-free.
